Blah blah blah

I don't really feel like recapping the rest of my life so I'm just starting over and hopefully keeping this blog pretty updated. I am currently living with Justin in a house with 6 other girls. I work at Jimmy John's and at the Horse Center for the summer. Hopefully I will be going to England soon-ish to visit Lea, but we will see. Life is kind of a gamble with me. You just never know what the heck I am planning next.

I guess till next time friends

Umm... It's OR I guess

Three years explained in a short sentence: it sucks out here. I feel like I'm on the other side of the planet from everyone. I actually did make quite a few life-long friends, but I would rather be anywhere else than OR.
I lived in a dorm with Aubrey Hulse for an entire year, then went to live in another house with quite a few people for one term, and then I ended up living at the horse center. Which was amazing but ended up killing me more than anything. I have learned so much there though. So it is not something I regret in any way. It was just too much work for a student to handle. I guess my life in Oregon has been pretty stressful and the horrible weather never helps, but I am making it for now.

Most of my friends I've made on the IHSA team. I love going to
shows and riding random horses I could never afford. Of course all the shows and freezing cold, but its totally worth it. The girls are fun and the shows entertaining. And though there is much drama, it's totally worth it in the end.

<--- Chloe is the first horse I won a class on over fences. She was so much fun. The best part was watching everyone else struggle with her and I had the smoothest ride :). She helped me win my first highpoint rider ribbon :) It was pretty bad ass.

All in all shows are amazing and I share them with the most amazing friends. All the drama, blood, sweat, stress, dirt, hardwork, freezing cold, and lots and lots of tears becomes worth it when we go post season. It has been in California both years and I got to jump last year. The judge kind of robbed us and everyone rode their heart out, but lady luck was not on our side to go to nationals, but I am confident we will for sure make it next year because we are a kick ass team with some AMAZING riders.

And of course since we were in LA we had to visit Disney!!

This was last year though. We didnt make it to nationals, but I did end up going with the western team anyways

The Trip of my Life

Well.... I haven't done this in
a really long time. I don't really know where to start.

Justin and I traveled cross country to live together in Oregon after spending a miserable year apart. We went to the natural history museum and Shedd Aquarium first in Chicago.
The museum was really interesting. The fossils and sculptures were amazing. I really enjoyed the visit.

I love love love fish and the aquarium was beautiful! We watched a small practice run
for a show with dolphins, penguins, and beluga whales. Which was pretty sweet and the small aquariums that aligned the walls were amazing. Every small aquarium had a great array of species in it. Just beautiful. I wish I could have a career in taking care of the fish. Lol. I think I'll stick to the land though
We hung out outside of the aquarium for a little bit and bought a Chicago dog at a little hot dog stand. It definitely was the most amazing Chicago dog I've ever had. The little park was cute and we just stayed there a little bit before continuing on the long journey to Omaha, NE

It was another seven hours to reach Omaha from Chicago. Making our driving time for one day total 12 hours since we left Benzie. I was happy to get out of the car and sleep in a bed. The next morning we visited the Omaha zoo. And that was an absolutely amazing place to be.

Of course we had to stop at an IHop for breakfast because I love it and missed it :)

The layout of the zoo wasn't too amazing but the exhibits were superb. The aquarium exhibit was more impressive than Shedd aquarium. I was definitively entertained by everything.
Between the Butterfly house, the Desert Dome, the Night Critters, and the Rain forest exhibits my head was about to pop with excitement. I felt like a little kid in a toy store. I didn't even know where to begin. Justin kind of just held my hand and dragged me in the right direction. It was a well spent day.

The rest of the trip was less entertaining. We would have done more, but we were kind of short on time and tired of driving. I wish we had more time to explore the other cities we stopped in, but decided to just keep going and get to OR as soon as we could. The days were long, but we made it. It was seriously the longest week of my life and I am not looking to repeat it anytime soon.
